Blog Tour Stop Part Two (or Τδυο in Greek) - The Dark Prince Interview w/ SL Jennings

So, I was lucky enough to get an interview with the beautiful and talented Ms. Jennings. Check it out:

How did you come up with this story? It's so different (and refreshing) from some of the other standard paranormals out there.
Thank you! I wanted to write what I want to read. I took what I loved about PNR and Contemporary Romance and combined the two. I wanted to create something urban and relatable with just enough fantasy to almost be believable. And I love a sexy read so yeah, there had to be a high steam factor.
What made you ultimately decide to put your story out there?

I had sent the first few chapters to a couple friends to read and they loved it. So I wrote a few more and sent it and they kept wanting more. So I thought, what the hell. Let’s really do this.

Is Dorian (minus the whole Dark-supernatural thing) based off of anyone you know? And if so, FYI-I'm single, just sayin ;)

LMAO! I wish! Hell, if he really did exist, I would not be here answering these questions. I’d be underneath him!
Are there any plans to put anything in Dorian's POV?
Not right now, but anything could happen.
What was your favorite steamy, hawt scene to write in Dark Light?
The couch scene, of course! I can’t even tell you how that happened. I must’ve been in a serious mood that day.
Without giving anything away, what was your favorite scene to write in Dark Prince?

I really enjoyed writing the banter between Gabs and a new character that I hope everyone will love. They have really great chemistry. And both of them have a bit of the asshole gene.

Besides being a writer, you're a fellow book addict. What were some of your favorite books to come out in the past year?

Oh wow, so many! Within the past year, I really loved Easy by Tammara Weber, Hopeless by Colleen Hoover (I love Colleen. We’re actually best friends but she doesn’t know it yet), Undeniable by Madeline Sheehan, The Edge of Never by J.A. Redmerski, Thoughtless by S.C. Stephens…just too many to name.

So I stalked your Goodreads page and saw you have a book called Fear of Falling in your pipeline, slated for a Summer release. Can you tell me a bit about that?

Ah yes, Fear of Falling is my baby. It’s a Contemporary Romance novel about a young woman named Kami that is plagued by her debilitating phobias stemming from a tumultuous childhood. Her fears keep her from living, and most importantly, loving. In walks Blaine Jacobs, and Kami’s world is completely rocked. He’s tattooed, pierced, and insanely hot. Everything that Kami would consider ‘risky behavior.’ Yet, somehow, he makes her feel completely safe and secure. And while her head is telling her to run like hell, her heart is already tethered to him. He makes her feel alive. He makes her want to stop being afraid.
